Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
Hydrostatic or hydraulic pressure testing of pressure vessels, pipework, components and systems may be required following manufacture, to prove the design, material quality/strength and/or sealing arrangements to ensure longevity and reliability of manufacture.
For Equipment in use, hydro testing may be needed:
- At periodic intervals
- Following a statutory inspection where significant corrosion is identified.
- Where you have concerns about the performance of “older” equipment.
- Following an incident, damage or repair to the equipment.

After extended periods of service, pressure exposure and dynamic load cycles equipment may experience excessive corrosion or stress of the parent material resulting in a loss of wall thickness which may reduce the equipment’s strength. By performing Hydrostatic testing, Techwests’ technicians can assess the equipment’s suitability for future service. Hydrostatic Testing either onsite or at Techwests’ workshop to a maximum pressure of 15000psi on an infinite range of equipment including:

- Prototypes
- Hydraulic / Pneumatic Fittings / Assemblies

Nitrogen Leak / Pressure Testing
Nitrogen leak and pressure testing may be required during or following construction maintenance, modification or shutdown activities to production installations both on and offshore.
